About Speedyquip

It’s been one hell of a ride…

Family run since day one: parts and accessories for cars and bikes in Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth) since 1966.

Since 1966

Established by the late Derek Elliott in 1966 in Port Elizabeth, the Speedyquip legacy continues to offer top quality products and service to the public. Family run since day one, the business continues proudly under the family banner.

With the popularity of motorsport in the sixties, Speedyquip established itself as a front runner in the industry, marketing and selling modified camshafts, cylinder heads, exhaust branch manifolds, free-flow exhausts and twin-choke carburettors, amongst many other performance products.

A one-stop shop for automotive enthusiasts

In 1978 a decision was made to include motorcycle parts, accessories and apparel under one roof. This was a first for the industry, as motorcycles and cars were entirely separate industries at the time – creating PE’s first one-stop shop for bikes and cars.

To keep current with modern developments, we consistently visit motoring trade shows for bikes and cars around the world, attending some of the largest shows – most of them hosted in the East, Germany, Italy and the USA – to source our quality product lines.

Where you can find anything

Our product holding now covers performance parts, accessories and apparel for motor vehicles and motorcycles. We also stock and import American V8 parts and accessories, stock vintage and veteran car parts, and import a range of tyres regularly.

We value our staff, some of whom have been with us for many years, and we are passionate about our vision, our products and especially our customers. As we have grown, so has our service offering: we now ship countrywide and to neighbouring countries, and we offer dealer pricing to qualifying businesses.
